Hello June

Happy Almost-Half-Way through 2020, Kids! Anybody else still trying to recover from the last five months?

I'm not sure I've ever seen the likes of what we've experienced this year so far. Personally, it's been one of the hardest years of my life, and in fact, I'm sure a lot of us could say similar things. My family has experienced some personal losses this year, some that we're still healing from, and to say I'm relieved and excited to get back to working with you all is an understatement.

But I want to see the potential that's still left in this year. There were moments, hidden gems, all along the way during the first half of 2020. Just like life, it's never ALL bad, but sometimes it takes a bit more digging and searching for good when all we see around us is crumbling. But it sure is lovely when we can see light at the end of a very long tunnel.

So here's to a much better second act. I wanted to address some things with you all as we cautiously and smartly move forward on rescheduling sessions and booking new ones. By no means is any of this set in stone, I think we all know well by now that things can change in a moment's notice. But we have to have some form of game plan to keep everyone informed and safe.

As of right now, our governor in Michigan is allowing groups of 10 or less to congregate together, and the Stay Home Stay Safe order is set to expire at midnight on June 12th. As of right now, I'm planning on re-opening LauraKathryn Photography for outdoor sessions only as of the weekend of June 20th. You are more than welcome to contact me anytime between now and then to book a session for the summer or fall. Also let me know if you have an questions or concerns about precautions or anything else that comes to mind.

This week, my plan is to reach out to everyone that had their session cancelled during the stay-home order first and then proceed to contact those that wanted to schedule a session while we were in the middle of all this. I'm hoping to get that done by the end of this week so we can get back on task to getting some amazing photos for you and yours.

My availability will still be for weekends only for my Marlette/thumb area crew and for Jackson, I'll have a few openings throughout the week as well as most Saturdays. I'm thrilled at the idea of FINALLY seeing some of you all in person. Thank you all for your support through this craziness. I appreciate you more than you know.

Because everyone has a story,

Laura
